INTRODUCTION
The Passion Coach Certification is for youth development and mental health professionals, mentors, educators, and just about anyone who works with youth. The certification equips new Passion Coaches with science-backed, passion-based coaching tools they can use to (1) create conversations that develop deeper connections and relationships with students, (2) take self-reflective inventory of their interests and passions, (3) explore what motivates and demotivates them, (4) brainstorm ways to take action on their interests and passions, and other tools that help students visualize their passions, track their passions, and make connections to college and career through their passions.
The training includes a group training and then if mentors opt in additional on-site training implementing the Passion Coaching tools with an actual student.
We also offer a Jr. Passion Coach Certification for youth leaders in high school who work with younger youth. The Jr. Cert emphasizes how to build personally meaningful relationships with younger people through questions and conversations that center around intrinsic motivations. The Jr. Cert equips youth leaders with the interpersonal and communication skills needed to make younger youth feel special and more excited to participate in their programming.
